PEINTRE ET GRAVEUR

On peut dire que Johann Pollak est un homme de réflexion, même si ses dessins et ses gravures semblent spontanés, légers, dynamiques et en mouvement. C’est surtout le produit d’une quête et d’une recherche. Résultat d’un procédé qui réunie l’artistique et l’humanistique sans évacuer l’inconscient.

Ses pensés sont imprégnées de l’histoire, de la littérature et de la philosophie. Il se pose des questions sur « ici » et « maintenant », sur le « pourquoi » et le « comment » dans la relation d’ « être au monde ». Pour cela, il lit, étudie et se pose des questions à la fois sur la pensée antique et contemporaine.

Il cherche dans son travail à lier le temps, le temps qui passe et le temps vécu avec le chrono. Johann Pollak ne cherche pas à résoudre des problèmes d’une manière abstraite, mais au contraire, il est dans le concret. Un concret qui dans sa conception, exige une grande réflexion. Comme toutes les questions qui permettent de relier l’homme au monde, ce sont celles qui tournent autour de l’homme, de l’humanité. Johann Pollak ne ce contente pas de les traiter comme thèmes mais rend visible leur enveloppe charnelle dans ses tableaux.

PAINTER AND ENGRAVE

Johann Pollak is a man of reflection. The spontaneity, light, dynamics and movement represented in his work is a result of his consistent quest for a process that joins together the artistic and humanistic. The historical, literal and philosophic ideas in his work raise questions on “here” and “now”, “why” and “how” these ideas represent themselves in both our present world in comparison to an ancient world. He seeks to bind passing and contained time in his work. Instead of solving problems in an abstract way, Johann Pollak seeks to explore something more concrete, which in its design requires a great reflection. As all the questions, which make it possible to connect the man to the world, it is those, which turn around the man, of humanity. Johann Pollak this glad step to treat them as topics but makes visible their carnal envelope in his tables.

DER ZEICHNER UND RADIERER

Johann Pollak ist ein nachdenklicher Mensch, auch wenn seine Zeichnungen und Radierungen spontan wirken und wie locker hingesetzt, dynamisch und voller Bewegung, so sind sie doch Produkt seiner Nachdenklichkeit. Ergebnisse des menschlichen und künstlerischen Prozesses, der auch das Unbewusste mit einschließt. Philosophie, Literatur und Geschichte prägen seine Gedanken. Er sucht nach Antworten auf die Fragen nach unserem Hier und Jetzt, nach dem Warum und Wozu, nach der Verhältnismäßigkeit des Seins. Um Antworten zu finden liest er und studiert, beschäftigt sich mit der Antike und der Gegenwart, und will in seiner Kunst die Zeiten versöhnen. Johann Pollak geht an seine Fragen nicht abstrakt heran, sondern ganz konkret, aber mit einem hohen geistig-spirituellen Anspruch. Was er ins Bild setzt, sind Menschen, sie sind nicht nur das Thema, um das es ihm geht, denn letztlich sind alle Fragen der Welt Fragen der Menschheit im umfassenden Sinn, sie sind auch die Objekte seiner Bilder.
